Celebrate Summer Solstice at Peace Tree

In this moment of peak summer fire and light we gather in celebration at Peace Tree Spirituality Center Friday, June 22, beginning at 7 p.m.  We welcome our friend, Lizzie Salsich, to lead us in song and ritual.  As always, children are welcome!  Free will donation through PayPal or in person.

What to expect

Sweetness.  Summer sun.  Song.  Fire.  Warmth.  Light.  And Spirit moving in Her mysterious ways.

We will meet around the fire pit near the labyrinth.  The first part of the evening will fan the fire within through simple story, ritual, and sharing.  Afterward we will enjoy the evening air, bonfire, and each other.  We’ll savor s’mores and the fruits of Summer’s sun (berries and such).   Feel free to bring a snack to share.

What to bring

• Benches surround the fire pit, but you may choose to bring a chair or a blanket to sit.
• Bug spray
• A snack to share (optional)

About Lizzie Salsich

Lizzie Salsich is a yoga teacher, spiritual director, and community organizer based in St. Louis, Missouri. She leads classes, workshops, and retreats on embodiment, sacred rest, and ritual practice in the St. Louis area. She holds a bachelor’s degree in religious studies and is trained in yoga, qigong, sacred dance, and other forms of contemplative and mystical practice. Lizzie is passionate about sharing these life-giving tools with her community and committed to cultivating sacred spaces for healing, connection, rest, and renewal. She trained with her aunt Catherine Calderon from a young age and now finds great joy in carrying on her work.
