Ease Pain and Restore Motion with Christina, Massage Therapist

Ease Pain and Restore Motion with Christina, Massage Therapist

Meet Christina Sweeny, one of the massage therapists offering free mini sessions at Peace Tree’s Open House.  Christina specializes in myofascial release, a hands-on technique of gentle sustained pressure into the myofascial restrictions to help eliminate pain and restore motion.  This manual therapy uses a whole body approach with focus on the three-dimensional continuous web of fascia found throughout the body. Join us Saturday, October 21, 2-7 p.m. for free demonstrations, classes, experiences, and resources to help you more deeply connect body, mind, and spirit.

Christina Sweeny is a licensed massage therapist, originally from New York City. She received
her Associate’s Degree in Massage Therapy from the Swedish Institute in NYC in 2000. Along
with John F Barnes Myofascial Release training, Christina has studied manual lymphatic
drainage, shiatsu, Feldenkrais Method, Pre-natal massage, Thai massage, Reiki, and
Integrative Energy Therapy. She is currently employed at Quantum Healing Arts in Kirkwood,
MO; where they specialize in myofascial release. When not working, Christina enjoys hiking,
dabbling in the arts, and listening to local St. Louis music. She can usually be found hanging
out with her boyfriend Nick and his adorable husky Stella.

Christina will be offering mini sessions blending myofascial release and massage techniques.
