Join us to sing and flow to the moon on the labyrinth at Peace Tree Spirituality Center to reconnect with yourself, each other, and our shared experience of time’s passage.

In ancient cultures, people gathered together to commemorate special events and rites of passage, life cycles, and seasons.

Anthropologists recognize that singing and moving together in community connected people to each other, and to the flow of life.  Today many of us have lost this sense of connection with the earth, with the flow of life through us, and with each other.

What to Expect:

You will be guided in a simple yoga practice, including a lovely flow as well as restorative postures, open to all.

You will learn and practice an ancient prayer , the Gayatri Mantra, an energy of surrender:  softening fear-based efforting and “small-mind” to love, light, and expansiveness.

You will be met in a joyful circle as we sing together in a Kirtan, songs of inspiration and devotion, which connect our consciousness together as we rise to inspired states.

The evening will culminate with a meditative walk on the Labyrinth accompanied by Bradford on Tibetan Bowls and Native American Flutes.

Note – the Gayatri Mantra, and other mantras in the Kirtan practice are from the yogic tradition, and can co-exist with any religion or personal spiritual practice.

What to Bring:

  • Layers to wear
  • Water to drink
  • Your Yoga mat, plus extra padding (such as a 2nd yoga mat, and 1-2 blankets under your mat as we will practice on the stone labyrinth)
  • 2 Yoga Blocks and 1 Strap (if you have these supplies)
  • Pillow or Bolster for the Kirtan, if needed.  (Or, you might sit on your folded up yoga mat and blankets)
