The Birth of Light: a family friendly Winter Solstice celebration

The Birth of Light: a family friendly Winter Solstice celebration

December 23, 2017
3:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Cost: $5/person suggested donation

Join Jessica Gazzola in the hours of waning light on December 23rd for this family friendly event.  Young and old, parent and child, together enter the simple wonder of darkness and flickering light.  Leave the glare of storefronts and find the subtle signs of birth burning in the night.  We will return to the roots of our holiday celebrations with storytelling, song, and simple ritual.

Be prepared to wander outside with warm clothes.  Some of our time will be spent on our outdoor labyrinth and around a fire.

The formal celebration will conclude at 5 p.m., but you’re invited to stay for a light soup and bread dinner back in our cozy Center.

Register so we can plan accordingly.  http://www.peacetreecenter.org/events/the-birth-of-light-a-family-friendly-winter-solstice-celebration/

Suggested donation $5/person.  Pay what you can.  All proceeds go to Peace Tree Spirituality Center.

Note: This is a child-friendly event, but you do not need to have children to attend.  All are welcome!
